JW Forland Launches 7-Seater Suzuki APV Competitor

Forland has launched a new MPV called Safari, featuring 7 seats, and a decently powerful engine alongside modern features and amenities. It competes directly with Suzuki’s famous APV, which is commonly used by large families and car rental services for trips to northern areas.

Engine

Powering the Safari (Deluxe and Comfort variant) is a 1,500-CC 4-cylinder EFI engine, alongside a 5-speed gearbox. The engine produces 107 hp and 147Nm of torque, which is similar to Suzuki APV (104 hp and 128 Nm torque) but with slightly better torque. The Standard model comes with a 1,300 CC engine with the same 5-speed transmission. The MPV is only available with a manual transmission.

Forland claims that Safari manages a 13-14 km per liter fuel consumption for in-city driving.

Features and Safety Options

This is where the Safari MPV truly shines versus its competitors in the market. It features electronic power steering, a rearview camera, DRLs, central locking, power windows for the front seats, ABS brakes, tire pressure monitoring, door open warning, parking brake warning, and seat-belt warning for the driver.

All the seats feature seatbelts alongside an ISOFIX child seat anchor.

Price, Booking and Availability

Forland Safari is now officially available and can be booked from all authorized dealerships in Pakistan. It can be had in three different variants with the following prices:

Rs. 37.99 Lac (Standard)

Rs. 40.99 Lac (Comfort)

Rs. 42.99 Lac (Deluxe)

The Comfort variant doesn’t include rear AC, dual-color paint, central locking, power windows for front seats, touchscreen display, fog lamps, reverse camera, ABS, and tire pressure monitoring. The Standard model cuts it down further to a 1,300 CC engine to lower the price.

NEPRA Net Billing Policy 2026: How the New Solar Buyback Rates Affect You

The End of an Era: Pakistan’s Shift from Net-Metering to Net-Billing Pakistan’s renewable energy landscape is undergoing a seismic shift. Following months of speculation, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has officially notified the Prosumer Regulations 2026 , marking the end of the traditional net-metering system and replacing it with a "net-billing" framework. This move has ignited a fierce debate between the government, which cites grid stability and financial equity, and solar users who feel penalized for investing in clean energy. What is Changing? From 1:1 Exchange to Buy-Back Rates Under the previous Net-Metering system, solar prosumers (consumers who also produce energy) enjoyed a 1:1 unit exchange. If a household exported one unit of electricity to the grid during the day, it could offset one unit consumed at night. The new Net-Billing policy fundamentally changes this math: Buy-back Rate: Excess electricity exported to the grid wil...

How to Save Water: Simple Steps for a Sustainable Future

How to save Water: Water is one of the most precious resources on Earth. Every drop counts, yet billions of liters are wasted daily due to careless habits and inefficient water management. With growing populations and increasing demand, it’s crucial to conserve water not only to prevent shortages but also to protect the environment. Here are some effective ways you can save water in your daily life. 1. Fix Leaks Immediately A dripping tap or leaking pipe might seem insignificant, but it can waste hundreds of liters of water every month. Check faucets, toilets, and pipelines regularly, and repair any leaks as soon as possible. 2. Turn Off the Tap When Not in Use Many people leave the tap running while brushing their teeth, washing dishes, or shaving. Simply turning off the tap during these moments can save up to 6 liters of water per minute. 3. Take Shorter Showers Showers use a lot of water, especially if you enjoy long ones. Try to reduce your shower time by a few minutes and c...
