New Electricity tariffs

The power division has announced new Electricity tariffs starting from July 2024

According to the statement most consumers will see a slight increase in their electricity monthly bills due to the updated tariffs.

The government will provide a subsidy of Rs440 billion.

The statement states that the 58% poorer domestic consumers the impact will be less tha 2% . The relatively 42% wealthier consumers will see an average increase of 9%.
