Crimson Desert Patch Notes 1.02.00: Massive Storage Buffs & New QoL Features

Crimson Desert Update 1.02.00 Patch Notes: Storage Buffs and QoL Wins

The world of Pywel just got a lot more manageable. Pearl Abyss has released Update 1.02.00 for Crimson Desert (April 4, 2026), and it’s a heavy hitter for players tired of inventory tetris and clunky fast travel.

Following the massive 1.01.00 "Mounts & Mechanics" overhaul, this latest patch focuses on "player agency"—giving Kliff better control over his gear, his movement, and his massive hoard of loot.

1. Major Storage Expansion: The Greymane Camp

If you’ve been struggling with a full inventory, the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill is now your most important destination. Your private storage can now be expanded up to a massive 1,000 slots.

·        Starting Slots: 240

·        Expansion Stages: There are 5 total camp upgrades.

·        The Math: Each of the first four upgrades adds +100 slots, while the final "Master" expansion grants a huge +360 slots.

2. The "Fashion" Toggle: Hide Your Helmet

It’s the feature we’ve been screaming for since launch. You can finally see Kliff’s face during gameplay. Navigate to Settings > Language & Gameplay to find the new Headgear Visibility options:

·        Always Show

·        Show in Combat (Perfect for immersion/protection)

·        Hide in Cutscenes

·        Always Hide

Note: Pearl Abyss noted that a "Hide Weapons on Back" toggle is currently in development and expected in a future update.

3. Combat & Movement Refinements

The developers are still tweaking the "Classic vs. Basic" control debate.

·        Sprinting Options: In Settings > Input > Movement Controls, you can now toggle between Basic (Hold to sprint) and Classic (Repeatedly tap to accelerate).

·        Abyss Nexus Buff: You no longer need to stand perfectly still to fast travel. You can now activate an Abyss Nexus while moving slightly.

·        Aerial Combat: Jumping after an attack is now more responsive, and the Flight skill can now be activated while holding the jump key in mid-air.

4. Technical Enhancements (PS5 Pro & PC)

This patch brings some serious "eye candy" for high-end users.

·        PS5 Pro: Implementation of the Upgraded PSSR Sharpen feature and Native AA in Quality Mode.

·        Xbox Series X: Added 4K upscaling to Performance Mode.

·        PC: Updated to FSR SDK 2.2 and improved FSR Frame Generation quality to reduce shimmering.

Why This Patch Matters

Pearl Abyss is moving at a breakneck pace to polish the Crimson Desert experience. By addressing storage and fast-travel clunkiness so quickly after the March 19th launch, they are signaling a high level of commitment to the community's "quality of life" (QoL).

Are you sticking with the "Classic" tap-to-sprint controls, or have you moved on to the "Basic" hold-to-sprint setting?

NEPRA Net Billing Policy 2026: How the New Solar Buyback Rates Affect You

The End of an Era: Pakistan’s Shift from Net-Metering to Net-Billing Pakistan’s renewable energy landscape is undergoing a seismic shift. Following months of speculation, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has officially notified the Prosumer Regulations 2026 , marking the end of the traditional net-metering system and replacing it with a "net-billing" framework. This move has ignited a fierce debate between the government, which cites grid stability and financial equity, and solar users who feel penalized for investing in clean energy. What is Changing? From 1:1 Exchange to Buy-Back Rates Under the previous Net-Metering system, solar prosumers (consumers who also produce energy) enjoyed a 1:1 unit exchange. If a household exported one unit of electricity to the grid during the day, it could offset one unit consumed at night. The new Net-Billing policy fundamentally changes this math: Buy-back Rate: Excess electricity exported to the grid wil...

The 8GB Immortal: Is the RX 590 Still Worth It in 2026?

The AMD Radeon RX 590 is the "undead" champion of the Polaris era. Released in late 2018 as a 12nm "last hurrah" for the architecture, it was essentially a factory-overclocked RX 580 on steroids. Now that we are in 2026 , the RX 590 has transitioned from a mid-range workhorse to a legendary budget relic. If you’re still rocking one—or considering picking up a used "Fatboy" for a ultra-budget build—here is how it stands in the current landscape. Performance: The 1080p Reality Check In 2026, the RX 590 is no longer the 1440p contender it once claimed to be. However, its 8GB of VRAM has aged like fine wine, keeping it relevant while many of its 4GB and 6GB contemporaries (like the GTX 1060 or 1660) have fallen into obsolescence.
