Crimson Desert Update 1.02.00 Patch Notes: Storage Buffs and QoL Wins
The world of Pywel just
got a lot more manageable. Pearl Abyss has released Update 1.02.00 for Crimson Desert (April 4, 2026),
and it’s a heavy hitter for players tired of inventory tetris and clunky fast
travel.
Following the massive 1.01.00 "Mounts & Mechanics" overhaul, this latest patch focuses on "player agency"—giving Kliff better control over his gear, his movement, and his massive hoard of loot.
1. Major Storage Expansion: The Greymane Camp
If you’ve been
struggling with a full inventory, the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill is now your most
important destination. Your private storage can now be
expanded up to a massive 1,000
slots.
·
Starting
Slots: 240
·
Expansion
Stages: There are 5 total camp upgrades.
·
The
Math: Each of the first four upgrades adds +100 slots, while the final
"Master" expansion grants a huge +360 slots.
2.
The "Fashion" Toggle: Hide Your Helmet
It’s the feature we’ve
been screaming for since launch. You can finally see
Kliff’s face during gameplay.
·
Always
Show
·
Show in Combat (Perfect for immersion/protection)
·
Hide
in Cutscenes
·
Always Hide
Note: Pearl Abyss noted that a "Hide Weapons on
Back" toggle is currently in development and expected in a future update.
3.
Combat & Movement Refinements
The developers are still tweaking the
"Classic vs. Basic" control debate.
·
Sprinting Options: In Settings
> Input > Movement Controls, you can now toggle between Basic (Hold to sprint) and
Classic (Repeatedly
tap to accelerate).
·
Abyss
Nexus Buff: You no longer need to
stand perfectly still to fast travel.
·
Aerial
Combat: Jumping after an attack is now more
responsive, and the Flight
skill can now be activated while holding the jump key in mid-air.
4.
Technical Enhancements (PS5 Pro & PC)
This
patch brings some serious "eye candy" for high-end users.
·
PS5
Pro: Implementation of the Upgraded PSSR Sharpen
feature and Native AA
in Quality Mode.
·
Xbox
Series X: Added 4K upscaling to
Performance Mode.
·
PC: Updated to FSR SDK 2.2 and improved FSR Frame Generation quality
to reduce shimmering.
