GTA 6 Release Date & Updates: The Wait is Almost Over!
After
years of leaks, rumors, and record-breaking trailers, Rockstar Games has
finally locked in the details for what is arguably the most anticipated
entertainment launch in history.
Here is the complete, official breakdown of
the GTA 6 release date, pre-order information, and the newest updates straight

The Official Release Date

your calendars: Grand Theft Auto
VI will officially launch on Thursday, November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5
and Xbox Series X/S.
While
the game experienced internal delays that pushed it from its original 2025
window, Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive has firmly committed to
this November date to ensure the game has the "level of polish you have
come to expect and deserve."
Note: As with previous Rockstar titles, a PC
release has not yet been announced and is expected to follow at a later date.
Pre-Orders Open This Summer
Rockstar
recently announced that official
pre-orders for GTA 6 will go live on June 25, 2026.
While official pricing hasn't been confirmed
yet, industry analysts expect the standard edition to fall between $69.99 and
$79.99, with Premium and Collector's Editions likely available for die-hard
fans. You can already add the game to your wishlist on your console to get
notified the second pre-orders drop.

Rockstar dropped a brief but stunning 7-second drone-style teaser showcasing
Vice City. The footage features helicopters flying over the sprawling, modern
skyline against a gorgeous sunset, hinting at the massive scale of the game's
playable area.
Alongside the footage,
Rockstar unveiled the official
cover art. It prominently features the game's dual
protagonists, Lucia Caminos and
Jason Duval, surrounded by elements of the Florida-inspired state of
Leonida.
