Karachi, June 27, 2026 — Panic gripped the residents of Karachi this evening after a loud explosion followed by intense, heavy gunfire was reported in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.

The incident occurred near Block 6 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, in the vicinity of the Meteorological Department Chowrangi on University Road. According to initial reports, a powerful blast was heard, immediately followed by continuous gunfire. Some sources indicate the clash occurred near a gate leading to a local Rangers facility.
